Licensed Professional Counselor

Why Counseling?

Life can become unbearable and, at times, feel impossible to manage. The stresses of work, family, career, relationships and the current state of this world can negatively impact your mental health and even make life seem less meaningful. It is in times like these, that having a Licensed Professional Counselor can help you. Sitting down with a trusted professional who is unbiased, congruent, empathic and offers unconditional positive regard can turn your wh0le life around and bring you into a fresh new perspective. If you are experiencing anxiety, fears, depression, self-esteem/self-worth issues, spiritual emergency/awakening, faith/belief changes, addictive behaviors, relationship problems, we can work together to develop a treatment plan that works for You.

My Approach to Counseling:

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my therapeutic approach has a holistic framework acknowledging Mind, Body, & Spirit. While I identify as an integrative & eclectic counselor, I provide therapy from a humanistic and Person-Centered Approach. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, existential and solution-focused techniques. With a Christian background, I believe spirituality is an important facet to the therapeutic experience, and I offer Christian and Faith-based counseling as an option to those who desire their faith to be a part of therapy. It is my honor and privilege to work with people of all different faiths & beliefs and incorporate faith in sessions. In the therapeutic process, I work to tailor the sessions to the individualistic needs of each client; as all are unique people with specific needs. I specialize in working with stress & anxiety reduction, coping skills, depression reduction, grief & bereavement, men’s issues and spirituality.

Couples Counseling

Do you want a stronger relationship with deeper love and increased intimacy?

Coming together for couple’s counseling can be a powerful journey towards a healthy and happy relationship. It’s helpful to have two people who are willing to actively work on their relationship, but sometimes, it can take just one person with a will and desire to move forward together. During couples counseling/marriage counseling, we will determine the wants, desires and needs of both individuals and develop a plan to move forward towards relational health. Exploring together, with an un-biased professional, can lead to discovery of a plan for success.
